Keri Hilson’s legal representative sent a cease and desist takedown email to Sandrarose.com on Wednesday, demanding deletion and retraction of a post referring to Hilson and her “rumored boyfriend” Demarcus Johnson.
Johnson is a local businessman who faces felony theft charges in Georgia and Tennessee.
According to his affidavit, Johnson went into a bank in Nashville, Tennessee on June 26 to obtain a business loan for $50,000 using someone else’s identity.
Johnson was arrested at the scene and found to be in possession of counterfeit identification. He was later arrested on a fugitive warrant in Atlanta. He is currently out on bond.
In a tweet on Wednesday morning, Hilson responded to the rumor by acknowledging she knew Johnson. She even tweeted his nickname: “Speedy”.
But in a cease & desist email, Hilson’s legal rep writes: “Ms. Hilson has neither dated Mr. Johnson nor has she ever (or is currently) romantically or casually linked to Mr. Johnson in any personally [sic] way.*
The lawyer also ordered Sandrarose.com to “Refrain from allowing the use of the unauthorized content by any website in any manner whatsoever”.
It’s apparent from half a dozen videos on Mr. Johnson’s Instagram page that the two know each other more than casually.
There is even a video of Ms. Hilson sitting on Mr. Johnson’s lap while he kisses her neck? See video below.
It should be noted that Sandrarose.com never confirmed Hilson was dating Mr. Johnson. Only that the two were rumored to be dating. The original post was taken down.
