Hillary Clinton is on the hot seat for making a sarcastic comment about Eric Holder that went over badly on social media.
Over the weekend, a video surfaced in which Clinton and a journalist were discussing political correctness.
The journalist, Kara Swisher, asked Clinton what she thought about a quote by former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, whom she confused for New Jersey Senator Cory Booker.
Clinton corrected her, saying “That was Eric Holder.” Then, without missing a beat, Clinton quipped: “I know they all look alike.”
Swisher quickly replied: “No, they don’t,” before she caught herself and realized that Clinton was being sarcastic. “Oh, well done,” Swisher laughed.
Even though Clinton was being sarcastic, many on Black Twitter pointed to her history of racist comments as proof that she was too comfortable cracking the joke.
Clinton once famously called Black men “super predators” who needed to be heeled.
Question: Was Clinton’s comment racist or sarcastic?
