Gabrielle Union took a shower and washed her hair after going days without bathing. The actress took good natured ribbing from her Instagram followers for saying, “I stink but I’m happy.”
Gabrielle and her husband, NBA star Dwyane Wade, welcomed their daughter via surrogate on Wednesday, Nov. 7.
On Monday, Nov. 12, Gabby shared with her readers that she hadn’t taken a bath in days.
“So perhaps I haven’t showered for brushed my teeth or slept, but I’m in heaven. I stink but I’m happy,” she wrote on Instagram.
On Tuesday she gave her Instagram followers a peek at her sleeping daughter, along with the caption: “this baby smell though?! Heaven”.
The 46-year-old actress spent years trying to get pregnant via in vitro fertilization procedures. But her efforts ended in miscarriages.
She was criticized for sharing photos of herself posing in a hospital bed, wearing a hospital gown with her wig disheveled, as if she had just labored 36 hours to give birth.
Gabby and Wade, 36, haven’t announced the newborn’s name, but some fans speculate that the baby’s name is “Heaven”.
