Rapper Jeezy’s son, Jadarius Jenkins, was reportedly involved in a violent confrontation that left one man dead in Atlanta.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Jenkins, 22, suffered a slash to the face during a confrontation with a 37-year-old man on Sunday morning. The violent altercation ended in gunfire.
Officers were called to the scene where they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Jenkins was also transported to a hospital and treated for his facial wound.
According to Atlanta PD, Jeezy’s son was acting in self-defense. Police are also investigating a pair of burglaries that may be linked to the shooting.
Jadarius was questioned by police and released.
“We are grateful to law enforcement for releasing Jadarius after their preliminary investigation,” his attorney Drew Findling tells TMZ. “He continues to receive medical treatment for the injury he endured during the incident.”
Jeezy has yet to comment on the incident. The rapper made headlines a few years ago when he physically assaulted his then-18-year-old son for talking back to him.
