Nicki Minaj fans were in an uproar after news of boyfriend Kenny Petty’s extensive criminal history hit the Internet over the weekend.
Nicki went public with her new romance on Instagram.com on Saturday. Her fans were shocked that she hooked up with a registered sex offender considering her own sordid history with sex offenders.
But, as it turns out, most of Petty’s crimes were committed while he was still a teenager.
Petty was convicted of 1st-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1995.
Nicki, 36, hopped into the comments to co-sign a fan who pointed out that Petty was only 16 when he was arrested for forcibly raping his then-girlfriend.
