It’s a good thing Nicki Minaj turned off the comments on an intimate Instagram photo of herself with felonious boyfriend, Kenny Petty. In addition to rape, his lengthy arrest record includes murder!
Fans of the “Barbie Dreams” rapper are in an uproar after several news agencies uncovered Petty’s extensive criminal history which includes attempted rape of a minor and murder.
Petty was convicted of 1st-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1995. He served between 18 and 54 months for that crime, and he is a registered sex offender in New York.
In addition to the rape charges, Petty also served time for killing a man, according to The Blast.
Court records obtained by The Blast reveal Petty pled guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of a man named Lamont Robinson.
The complaint claims that on April 27, 2002 at 12:30 AM, Petty shot Robinson multiple times. Robinson was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Authorities originally charged Petty with 2nd-degree murder, but his lawyer got the charge reduced to manslaughter in a plea deal.
Petty pled guilty to the manslaughter charge in exchange for a 10 year prison sentence in March 2006. He was released from prison in May 2013 after serving 7 years. He was on supervised parole for 5 years, until May of this year.
Nicki went public with her new romance over the weekend. It is unclear when the rapper and the ex con’s paths crossed. The pair celebrated her 36th birthday on holiday this weekend.
Recently, Nicki pretended to date bisexual Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton.
Nicki’s fans were shocked that she hooked up with a registered sex offender, especially after her brother, Jelani Maraj, 39, was convicted of raping a minor child in New York in 2017. He is currently locked up awaiting sentencing.
Nicki was also affiliated with 22-year-old rapper Tekashi 69, who is in a New York prison awaiting trial on racketeering charges.
Tekashi was arrested on Nov. 18 for violating the terms of his bond stemming from a child sex case when he was 18.
Nicki’s fans flooded her timeline with comments about her poor judgment and questionable character.

“I hate to say it, but after #NickiMinaj defended her brother (sex offender) and 6ix9ine (sex offender), I can’t honestly say I’m surprised to hear she’s now defending her new boyfriend- another sex offender.”
