Rosario Dawson has confirmed reports she’s dating U.S. presidential wannabe Cory Booker. By confirming he is her beau, she dismissed pesky rumors that she is the Senator’s beard.
The first mixed race U.S. Senator from New Jersey and Newark’s 36th Mayor recently announced his intention to enter the packed race for the Democratic nomination in the 2020 election.
The crowded Democratic field includes Kamala Harris and Robert “Beto” O’Rourke.
The 39-year-old Sin City actress was interviewed on the spot by a TMZ videographer as she arrived at Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. on Thursday.
She giggled when she was asked if the rumors about a romance with 49-year-old Booker were true.
“Yes, very much so,” she said.
Rosario added, “He’s a wonderful human being and it’s good to spend some time together when we can. We’re very busy. I am just grateful to be with someone that I respect and love and admire so much, who is so brilliant and kind and caring and loving.”
Dawson, who is a celebrity political activist, also showed off a Cory Booker campaign badge pinned to her handbag as she walked through the airport, telling TMZ she feels sure her boyfriend would make a great President.
Booker recently confirmed he was off the market during an appearance on New York City radio show The Breakfast Club, but he stopped short of naming his “boo”.
Dawson first sparked rumors she was dating the U.S. Senator after they were spotted out and about together in New York City in January.
Dawson previously dated director Danny Boyle and she split from comedian Eric Andre after dating for 5 years.
Booker has been plagued with rumors that he prefers his back rubs by a masseuse with strong hands.
He was previously romantically linked to CBS anchorwoman Gayle King, poet Cleo Wade, and Chanda Gibson, the executive director of the Council of Urban Professionals.
