Melania Trump has a good sense of humor. That’s evident by the photo she authorized the White House photographer to tweet in celebration of her 48th birthday.
Mrs. Trump turned 48 on Friday, April 26. The White House tweeted this tongue-in-cheek photo of the First Lady showing the subtle dissonance between her and the White House Press Corps.
The photo shows Mrs. Trump sitting regally on a sofa in the Oval Office. A hint of a smile dances on her lips, as she surveys the scrum of photographers around her. She is as calm as the eye of a category 6 storm.
The tweet has generated over 10,000 comments and tens of thousands of retweets. Many assume the photo means she is “all alone” in the White House.
“Where are her child and husband?” one Twitter user asked.
Others wondered how the White House could release such a “depressing” photo.
“Regardless what I think of her and her family, this is just weird,” tweeted another user.
Twitter is a liberal platform. It’s no wonder the playful message of the photo sailed over users’ heads.
The photo has spawned numerous memes and jokes about how Melania is holding up after the Stormy Daniels scandal.
From where Melania is sitting, it looks like she’s holding up just fine.
