The mother of late rapper XXXTentacion’s only child wants a court to order DNA samples to confirm his paternity. Jenesis Sanchez wants her son, Gekyume Onfroy, to be considered the rightful heir to the rapper’s multi-million dollar estate.
XXXTentacion was gunned down during an armed robbery outside a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida in June. He was just 20.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Jenesis, who lived with the rapper in the months before he died, has filed a petition to determine her two-month-old son’s paternity.
In court papers Jenesis claims Gekyume was conceived when she lived with X from February 19 through June 18 2018, “the day of the Decedent’s death”.
Although she and the “SAD!” hitmaker were not married at the time, she states that nobody has contested the claim that X is Gekyume’s dad.
However, Jenesis is asking court officials to allow testing of biological samples of XXXTentacion and her son’s DNA to legally confirm him as the father, and establish Gekyume as an heir to his lucrative estate.
She is also asking the court to force the Office of the Broward County Medical Examiner and Trauma Services to provide her late lover’s DNA samples for tests.
Following his untimely death, XXXTentacion’s music skyrocketed in popularity, with both of his albums, 17 and ?, rising into the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart.
