Ciara Wilson can’t pack an arena, but she is still winning awards. The Internet is buzzing about the R&B singer and Seattle homemaker winning a coveted award. Thanks to her husband m Russell Wilson, Ciara is still a hot commodity. Though she wasn’t nominated for a Billboard Award, and she doesn’t have any current hits, she was still invited to perform last week.
According to WWD, Ciara will be crowned Style Icon at this year’s ACE Awards that showcases tastemakers who exemplify excellence.
Usually people who are crowned Style Icons are trend-setting designers, models or stylists. Many in the fashion industry wonder what qualifies Ciara for such an esteemed fashion award.
Ciara is among a handful of stars who will take home coveted trophies at the ACE awards slated for June 10 in New York City.
Accessories Council president Karen Giberson explained the qualifications for an ACE Award.
