A male certified nursing assistant was arrested in Florida on multiple charges of sexually assaulting elderly women in his care at a Clearwater, Florida nursing facility.
Felo Kane told Clearwater police he has a “fetish for older female patients under his care.”
Authorities say Kane, 32, is charged with four counts of sexual battery of the physically helpless.
In May 2016, Kane inappropriately fondled and kissed a disabled stroke patient while changing her adult diaper. The patient told him multiple times to stop, but authorities say Kane forced her to touch his genitals.
In a second incident, Kane fondled another female patient while changing her adult diaper.
When she protested, he reportedly told the woman, “don’t worry, I’m just cleaning you.”
According to WFTS, Kane touched and fondled older patients at two separate nursing facilities from 2016 to 2019.
WFLA-TV identified one of the facilities as Clearwater Center.
Some of the family members of patients at the Clearwater facility are angry over the possibility that Kane fondled their loved ones.
In some states male nursing staff are prohibited from being alone in a room with vulnerable female patients, for obvious reasons.
