Colin Kaepernick's agent reached out to 3 NFL teams who recently lost their star quarterbacks to injuries.

According to ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, Kaepernick's agent reached out to the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets and New Orleans Saints - whose starting quarterbacks are sidelined with serious injuries.

The Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger suffered a season-ending elbow injury this week. New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has a torn ligament in his throwing hand, and the NY Jets' quarterback Trevor Siemian is out for the season with an ankle injury.

Smith revealed Kaepernick's pleas to the teams on his ESPN show First Take on Tuesday.

Smith said none of the teams responded to Kaepernick's agent.

Kaepernick, who was blackballed for protesting the national anthem, is desperate to return to the field before he is too old to play.

The 31-year-old Scorpio has been out of the NFL since 2016.

Kaepernick's agent told the teams his client would be willing to play backup quarterback just to touch the ball again. But still there was no response from the teams.

Critics say Kaepernick is still blackballed despite settling a lawsuit with the league for a reported $10 million.

The former 49ers quarterback spends long days in the weight room waiting for his phone to ring.

"Colin is literally in the best shape of his life," tweeted Chris Williamson of SNY. "He's been working out five days a week at 5 a.m. for three years. He wants to play and his agent has been contacting teams in need of a quarterback."

  • MSGREENMINUSTHEENVY

Sadly, They really don't want this man to win and it is showing! Clearly teams need a quarter back to get their season started but are unbending.

  • Conservative

NFL owners are a bunch of cowards! Periodt

  • Li-Wright

Now, I may be wrong, but I thought: When Kap signed the NFL settlement (and got about $5Mil payout) he wouldn't be able to play for any team....no? So the agreement didn't include NOT playing for a team. Well, if this is true about his agent (he still has an agent!) asking teams, they will be waiting a long time. The teams are not going to hire him.

  • Li-Wright

It won't be Kap. After dogging the flag....do you think any team would allow him into the stadium? The (white) fans would boo him.

  • Conservative

Fuck that bullshit flag! It's about the money!

  • KLove

Damn...thats a rough feeling when teams wont even at least call back to let you know they arent interested...i feel for him

  • Fire & Ice

I agree. Personally, I think he just needs to ride off into the sunset with his settlement. If he comes back and is nothing short of spectacular, they'll say this is why no team wanted him smh.

  • luVn_liFe…

    Colin is One FIONE man!

  • Maxx

He just needs to walk away with his head held high. He just won an Emmy for his commercial which states believe in something even if it cost you everything.....well I say practice what you preach, but he actually came out with something 10 million! So just invest, build your own business...best revenge is your paper Kaepernick! Let it go boo.

  • Scromes1212

This the best chance he's had to get back in the league since he left. The quarterback situation is bad and it's only going to get worse

  • luVn_liFe…

maybe he really luvs the game and would be willing to play in the right situation. He was fortunate enough to use his platform for a good cause, either way he will DEF go down in history

  • luVn_liFe…

terrible.. the Jets b/u qb Siemiean was injured last night and it ended his season.
    and Siemiean is awful

  • Truth ???

No team is going to "buck up" and hire him because they care too much what the other owners, coaches and players think.

  • Bushbabe

Real people out here looking for a job and this rich idot is protesting on his? This sjw and pc culture is satanic . Like did he even accomplish anything? The black man himself is still his greatest enemy and people are dying in multiple double digits in the hood and not by police. Black people cut the white liberals off and read Isaiah 32.

  • EMILY POST

At some point ??????????.. didn’t they pay him to go away.

  • ClaireHuxtable

Yep. The owners are thick as thieves...a bromance like never seen before.

  • Not Today, get behind me.

    F them.

  • ClaireHuxtable

True. He'd have to seek, k1ll and destroy with accuracy...100% completions...no interceptions...no sacks. More like the Bionic man than an actual quarterback.
They'd expect much more from him than any other quarterback in the league.

  • JALC

He is so annoying. What part of WE DON'T WANT YOU don't he understand? He should not have took his self-righteous protest to his JOB and he would not be in the predicament he is in now.

  • ClaireHuxtable

    rich cowards

  • Sushi

If he loves the game he should just go and play over seas, No team will touch him, sad to say......I hate it for him....

  • Karen Brady

He'll bring too much story with him. None of them want that. Pussies.

  • Karen Brady

Also, not saying that he should be by any means but is this not nearing the point of embarrassment for him? Called 3 teams on Monday morning basically..geesh.

  • Conservative

Cowards nonetheles! Donald Trump kinda coward ?

OT: The Rookie actress update. Well, she committed career suicide.

'The Rookie' Producer: No "Unlawful" Conduct in Investigation of Afton Williamson Allegations

A statement on the investigation by Entertainment One says people the
actress named in her allegations did not "demonstrate behavior
    inappropriate for the workplace."

Entertainment One, the studio behind ABC's cop drama The Rookie,

says an investigation into allegations made by actress Afton Williamson

about a hostile environment on set found no "unlawful" behavior by

    people Williamson said harassed her.

Williamson (The Night Of, Banshee), who starred in

the Nathan Fillion-led series' first season, announced in July that she

wouldn't be returning. The actress wrote in an Instagram post in early

August that she was the target

of "racially charged inappropriate comments" from the show's hair

department and executive producers and that she was sexually harassed by

    recurring actor Demetrius Grosse.

  • Li-Wright

If it was unlawful she can file a criminal complaint. She can complain to the Union. She can file a complaint with EEOC....did she?

  • Renee26

There you have it... He cannot work in the NFL because the owners blackballed him Fact. Idk why the mf's keep lyin sayin he can get on a team

We still love you Colin. Let's put that degree (I assume you have) to use and change career paths.

  • Conservative

Read a book of folklore and fables? What is that going to get us?

  • Renee26

Good ol boys club always sticks together

  • Renee26

Yeah and watch these bastards stay prideful and keep him out

  • Renee26

    Allllll of this!!

  • Tom jones

Got dam u jews got dam u in my rev wright voice

  • Renee26

Chile that Rothskeller boy is a damn rapist and they accepted him. Colin wouldn't start any more trouble. He'd probably go into Beastmode comments and say "no comment" repeatedly in future interviews if he really wants to play for them.

  • Renee26

    LMAO

  • Coco17

We need him bad at Pittsburgh smh, we are about to have a rough season.

  • dontgetblocked

    Too many injuries.

  • dontgetblocked

He's going to have to keep his trouble making azz away from my Steelers. Take that kneeling crap somewhere. We tune in to see football.

  • MsPam

“Idk why the mofo’s keep lying sayin he can get on a team” People are in denial about that. I have a better chance to get on a NFL team then Colin. He needs to enjoy the money he received and hush up.

  • Coco17

Big Ben getting too old anyway.

  • dontgetblocked

She'll be making the chitlin black play rounds.

  • bb1812

Sigh...wish they'd let him play. He loves the game & it could be redeeming for the NFL in a way. A team could at least put him in as a backup at 1st. There's A LOT of baggage now, but what team would have the ballz to do it?

  • SaltineCrackers

Ray Lewis already said that no one is signing him because of the girlfriend. Loose lips sink ships.

  • MsPam

If Pittsburgh doesn’t get better they’re going to fire Mike Tomlin. Can’t keep a job because you’re black .

  • Bushbabe

There is a difference between a strong woman and a lethal bish. He has a lethal bish who happens to be a habitual line crosser.

  • Jaclyn2016

He should have left politics out of his workplace to begin with. He wants to return to the same organization that fined and fired him. Kneeling is still against policy and social injustices still exists. He was brave but not smart. He sues them but now wants to return. He should have fought for injustices outside of the NFL.

  • Bushbabe

On his own damn time and not on someone else's dime.

  • Jaclyn2016

    Exactly

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

There are 32 quarterbacks starting for an NFL team every week. But there aren't 32 starting quarterbacks better than Colin Kaepernick right now, plain and simple. It's a travesty and a shame that some of these teams who need a QB haven't called this man. Some of these team owners are being cowardly. Others are being plain spiteful. Either way, it's a shame. He deserves to be playing.

  • Blak

How pathetic. His publicity stunt backfired he needs to sit down and take this L.

  • MsPam

OT: The woman who put $100,000 for R Kelly wants her money back. Really?! The judge said she could get it back but after the trials of R Kelly is over, he said it could be years.

Sorry Valencia you took the money from your dead daughter and gave it to R Kelly. I hope she never gets it back.

  • luVn_liFe…

kneeling isnt against NFL policy, Reed and Stills are still kneeling

  • Fire & Ice

Exactly! If he's not everything that you mentioned, the NFL will be able to change the narrative. They'll say see it was never about the protest, he just wasn't a good quarterback.

  • luVn_liFe…

it's exactly what my hubby said too. I told him Blasphemy!

  • what?why

There are a lot of young hungry bucks out there and who would want to hire a self serving, aging, mediocre QB? Just wondering ...

  • Look@m3

And look at all the ungrateful MFers int his comment section! This is why Im good on these black folk! https://media3.giphy.com/media/1xoKRWhU72sqM4OOQK/giphy.gif

  • Elevated Soul

Colin Kaepernick does not care about "Black Lives Matter". He used the slogan which was created by Soros & Company to replace Operation Wall Street. He's actually trying to get back in a league that he stated was racist. He already finessed money from them that they did not have to give him to add to his fortune. He actually think the owners HAVE to give him a job but they don't....

  • Coco17

Thats true. But I hope not.

  • the guest

THE BLACKLIST AGAINST COLIN KAEP IS A TRAVESTY AND HISTORICAL INJUSTICE. SHAME ON JAY Z AND SHAME ON ANY ONE SUPPORTING THE NFL.

  • grenadiadrian

He loves himself more than the game. It's why he spent more time on social media than in the film room and learning how to be a better pocket passer after teams figured him and the read-option out. He figured he could coast on being an athlete that happens to play QB than being an actual QB and it blew up in his face in 2015. And I'm beyond sick and tired of hearing other people speak for him. Ever since his epic foot in mouth interview in Miami, he's been a mute (aside from Twitter posts and IG posts). If he wants this SO DAMN BAD, why he ain't out there speaking for himself? Started this shit and now you hiding behind Nessa like a little child hiding behind their mother clinging onto her dress.

  • KneeSee

The first person to start a movement always takes an L. At this point, him playing football may not be his purpose. God's will trumps being blackballed.

  • Truth ???

All those balls in one organization and not one of them has a spine to say this is just flat out wrong. Smh

  • http://welfareinfo.org angrysolo

    and DIStracting

  • The Art

Jay Z fucked up any chance that Collin had to return to the NFL. The league doesn't feel any pressure and Jay helped them to redirect the conversation.

  • Truth ???

Yep just like plantation owners and the players are the slaves who bet not turn on "massa" and defend one of their own from being ostracized. They better say "He bought dis on hisself" to let massa know they loyal to ole massa.

  • IGetWitcha

I don’t care for Colin or Jay Z! There, I said it! lol....But seriously, Colin really went out sad & bad, he kept kneeling after the “powers” said stop. He got fired and now begging for his job back. Have some dignity man!! LET IT GO! You made your mark in history?

  • Truth ???

No, they paid him because it was proven he was being blacklisted by them. That doesn't mean he cant play. I know employees who have sued their company for mistreatment on the job and still worked. It happens but this is the Good Ole Boys League and you know they have to make an example out of him "speaking up". "Play ball and stay quiet" is their motto. That's just how a lot of places do business.

  • Truth ???

People love saying "keep politics out of it" it's too late for that. Football was built on politics, it's just they dont want their "boys" speaking up about anything.

  • Shamwow

    He should write a book.

  • Truth ???

I haven't watched football in years and I knew it was going to take someone speaking up for them to show their true colors. They're trying to make an example out of him because they KNOW blacks dont stick together long term. Look how many blacks are still making excuses for supporting the NFL "NÏGGA FIELD LEAGUE". They'll dig up what he did in his teenage years to justify why he's being treated like that, so they can ease the guilt of supporting a league who ostracized a man who spoke up about the injustices done to blacks. They act like football is a drug to them. They're addicted and nothing else matters as long as they get that fix on Monday night. *eye roll*

  • Karen Brady

I'm actually surprised they are still together. And she stays in his ear, amping him up.

  • Karen Brady

Wow. I just said something about her a little further up.

  • Karen Brady

    ?

  • MsPam

Oh how I wish I was there!

  • wigmon68

Lots of guys protested during the anthem and are still playing in the NFL. Its the other things he said that have teams wanting to avoid him like the plague.

If he was a good QB, there would still be teams willing to overlook it. He's an OK QB, but one of the things that gave him an advantage over other QBs was his running ability. Probably not nearly as much of an advantage now that he's almost 32.

  • Bushbabe

I could careless about this rich spoiled athlete. His behind wasn't in the hood dodging bullets and football has enriched more black men than ever. It is not football that is a problem for the black community. I would have more respect if he was actually standing up to drug dealers ruining black lives. Why is he not protesting that? As long as black men are becoming millionaires for showcasing their talents and giving back that is all that should matter

  • I Have A Chronic In-House Man

His behind wasn't in the hood dodging bullets
    ^^^^^^^^^
He sure wasnt. He was busy holding down a 4.2 grade point average. While playing 3 sports. Football not this man only sport. Thats our problem. Just bc the struggle isnt everyone's NORM we tend to look down on the ones who made different choices or had a diff. set of life circumstances. Football lead this dude to finding his identity. As a BLACK MAN. Colin could have gone to a WAY better school than some NEVADA. What kind of football powerhouse is NEVADA. Not UNLV. Nevada...in RENO. Let that sink in. But Nevada was paying (only school to offer him a football scholarship. He got baseball scholarship offers too) so that is where he went. Luckily they had enough blacks on that campus for him to pledge Kappa. And last I heard black frats and sororities are STILL in the biz of volunteerism. So he gave and gives back. Been doing it. In a different way. And thats wrong bc he wasnt dodging bullets? Man...listen.

  • Peppermint Patty

Took me a sec to find but ohhh when I did....I got a GUUD gut busting laugh...

  • MsSlayla

The NFL knows that most of their fans are white supremacists or people who are of the Caucasian ethnicity who don’t realize they’re white supremacists. So Colin Kaepernick on their team is going to piss off their fans who pay their bills by buying tickets. Colin You blew the whistle on the NFL so stick by that. Stop trying to get employed by the same people you’re trying oppress. Stop trying to get a check from these people and standby your values. You used the NFL’s platform to stand for real political issues and that’s not what they’re about. They want to play football not risk their careers on you.

He has a sense of entitlement. Truth be told if someone causes a scene and unnecessary attention at their job. More than likely he will lose that job. If he really wanted to work he should’ve just worked and opened a non profit for his mission like every other rich person who has interest in a social cause. He knows that playing sports is something he enjoys, and his body craves wanting to play. Kap should just go continue to raise awareness. He still chose it over work and even after being told that his behavior was causing too much attention he kept it up despite the consequences. He made his bed. So lie in it. This is another version of covert racism.

  • EasyBreezy

My girl! Get 'em right together NOW! I am glad you had time because I don't right now. THANK YOU. https://media1.giphy.com/media/26BRMbch3DRkoEmli/giphy.gif

  • Eric B

No NFL owner is going to allow Kap to use their platform for his personal agenda. Then, you accuse the NFL of being corrupt and colluding against you. You sue the NFL for these reasons but agree to a settlement. Now, you want to play for the same league you said is corrupt? Bruh, you clout chasing. Money is not the issue. Nike is paying you. You received an undisclosed amount of money from the settlement. If it was about playing football, go to Canada. I believe he wants the publicity and coverage of being on an NFL team. If on an NFL team, no doubt he would have wall to wall media coverage and interview after interview. The NFL owners are not having that. Period!

  • EasyBreezy

As a Jay Z loyalist, I am profoundly disappointed in what he did. I choose to believe there is an unstated plan to 'infiltrate the NFL in order to impact change AND get Kap back in the league (in some capacity). Let's face it. If Kap DID NOT happen, Jay Z's deal WOULD NOT have happened. There'd be ZERO motivation or incentive for the NFL to consider it. Jay better recognize and get Kap back in the league.

  • EasyBreezy

Agreed. But here's the rub. Kap desires to play football in the NFL. He chose to NOT give up on that desire/dream. Roses, it has NOTHING to do with money. I say follow your dream but keep things moving.

  • I Have A Chronic In-House Man

I love you too. Mess ticked me off. Truly did.

Yet she still participates in the Girls Club that is all black and tutors. Broaden your damn horizons and stop downing on folks who ALREADY HAVE.

  • I Have A Chronic In-House Man

Kap gave up his chance to play basketball and baseball to go to Nevada to play football. Football is his love. NFL the onliest place he can play at the competitive level he is accustomed to. So I get why he wants to come back. I wish him the best, bc he isnt going to be able to do both. Have a platform and play in the league. I hope he realizes this and is at peace sooner rather than later with his decision.

No, he has a fetish to watch black men die from being injected with lethal drugs. That sounds about yt...

  • Elevated Soul

So what if they got billions? No one owes him a job....

Kap groupies need to face the fact that he used "Black Lives Matter" to get attention. When the attention he sought, did not reap the desired result,he sued the NFL for his own personal gain.

Now he want a job from the same people he deemed to be racist.

  • What???

Fake civil rights warrior Kap was offered a job by the Ravens and another team and turned it down early last year because his stupid girlfriend wouldn't shut the fugg up. The NFL isn't just a sport its a brand so conduct matters. Life is a tradeoff and you can't have it both ways. Kap is too much of an egomaniac hiding behind oppression to get it. This has ALL been about proving to himself that he has a black racial identity.

  • Nophace

So he got a settlement and STILL wants to play for them?!?! Come on bruh, You had 1 possibly 2 good seasons. Let the shit go and find something else to do professionally. I honestly feel like at this point, Kaep is simply using the NFL to keep his name out there in an attempt to stay relevant!

  • Truth ???

Pathetic actually. All those bosses and NO ONE has a leadership mind. Everyone is simply following what the others are doing.

  • Truth ???

Yep! I see it all the time. The same folks who are preaching about unity, brotherhood and sisterhood will go right to work and sabotage a sister's job or throw a brother right under the bus for the boss. I've seen it with my own eyes. Same neighbors who are at these community meetings talking about "everyone need to look out for their neighbors", won't open their mouth to speak to you the next day. Hypocrites to their core and make up every excuse under the sun for it.

  • grenadiadrian

THANK. YOU!!!! And notice how he started flexing his blackness WHEN HIS CAREER HIT ROCK BOTTOM! He was proudly biracial and didn't identify with one side when he was poppin' in 2012-2013. 2015 pulls up on him and he was exposed like Milli Vanilli for being a terrible one-read QB who couldn't even see a VERY VERY wide open WR against the Rams and fell from top 10 to not mentioned at all and ALL OF A SUDDEN, he's Mulatto X. He pulled this shit because he was on the verge of being cut (Trent Baalke is one of the worst GMs of all-time, but that was masterful to get Kap to sign a big contract that had very few guarantees) before the 2016 season started.

  • What???

Whites are statistically way more likely to be “victims” of police brutality than blacks. Why didn’t he kneel to stop black violence?? He’s too scared to have done that with his fake dr king scam. What a self righteous hairsprayin azz Afro fool.

  • Gloria

NFL already paid him out tho..... has he tried other football leagues?

  • JennyJazzhands

I'm a little lost. What happens to his movement once he gets signed again?

  • Ree

I don't understand why he wants to work for the league again when he feels that they have oppressed him. I mean if he wants to play, put that ego aside and play some Arena football OR start one of those football leagues like they did in Basketball..the Big 3. Create your own opportunities.

  • ClaireHuxtable

Say That!! Say it 1 mo time for the owners sitting in the back!!

  • Nita Pie

They already got backups. He's begging at this point, and they dont want you no more. If football was his life then he should've thought about the outcome of all this before he started to kneel.

  • JENNYJONES1

WELL HE SHOULD'VE STUDIED BUSINESS AND COMMON SENSE A LITTLE MORE B/C IT WASN'T A SMART BUSINESS MOVE TO OPT OUT(QUIT) THE LAST YR OF HIS CONTRACT WITH THE 49ers WHEN HE KNEW THE WHOLE LEAGUE AND OWNERS HAD AN ISSUE WITH HIS KNEELING BUT HE WANTED TO BE SO SHOCKED WHEN ANOTHER OWNER WOULDN'T SIGN HIM. SO WHAT DID KAP'S SETTLEMENT DO? IT DIDN'T GIVE UP ANY CHANCE OF HIM GETTING BACK IN THE LEAGUE, SILENCE HIS VOICE, KILL ALL NEGOTIATION POWER HE HAD AND LASTLY NOT GET HIM A QB JOB OR EVEN AS A AMBASSADOR FOR SOCIAL INJUSTICE FOR THE LEAGUE? B/C THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HIS KAP'S DEAL DID. IT SEEMS ALL KAP'S SETTLEMENT DEAL DID WAS TO LINE HIS POCKETS!!!! NO JOB, NO $$$ OR PROGRAMS FOR SOCIAL INJUSTICE JUST $$$ FOR KAP. HE SOLD HIS SILENCE TO THE NFL BUT JAY-Z IS SUPPOSE TO BE CAPTAIN SAVE A HOE AND DO FOR KAP WHAT HIS OWN DEAL DIDN'T DO. STOP PUTTING THE BLAME ON JAY WHO DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH THE NFL UNTIL AFTER KAP DID THAT 'ALL ABOUT SELF' SETTLEMENT DEAL WITH THE NFL. HELL EVEN TRAVIS SCOTT GOT $$$ FOR SOCIAL INJUSTICE PROGRAMS WHEN HE DID HIS SUPERBOWL DEAL. SMH!!!........JENNY JONES!!!

  • JENNYJONES1

I SAID THE SAME THING. HE GETS HIS BIG MOUTH GF TO START ISH TO KEEP HIS NAME OUT THERE, TALK ISH ABOUT ANYONE THAT WORKS WITH THE NFL THEN MAKES A PROFIT FROM IT ALL. IF KAP WANTED TO PLAY THAT BAD HE WOULD'VE WENT TO ANOTHER LEAGUE AND HAD SOME CURRENT FOOTAGE SHOWING HOW GREAT HE IS AND HOW STUPID THE NFL IS FOR NOT SIGNING HIM WHICH MIGHT HAVE GOT HIM A JOB B/C ALL WHITE BILLIONAIRES WANNA DO IS 'WIN' BUT INSTEAD HE GETS HIS GF TO THROW THE ROCK FOR HIM THEN HE HIDES BEHIND HER LIKE A BlTCH. I'M SICK OF THIS WHOLE THING AND THINK THE SPOTLIGHT SHOULD BE SHOWN ON SOME OF THE PEOPLE DOING REAL SOCIAL INJUSTICE WORK ON SHOE STRING BUDGETS WORKING THEIR TAILS OFF BUT NOT GETTING THE CREDIT B/C THEY DON'T HAVE THE PLATFORM KAP HAS AND SEEMS TO BE ABUSING AT THIS POINT..........JENNY JONES!!!

Some people say they feel sorry for this dude,I don't at all.

I feel sorry for the homeless/drug addicts/orphans /kids in foster care and a host of societal issues. I have zero phukks to give about a millionaire whining because someone took his football away....I can't stand Jay Z but I feel Kaepernick is trying to put Jay Z on the spot to help him get back in a league that he deemed racist.

I kind of felt bad for him too but then I remembered if any of us had rebelled against our work place or caused some kind of controversy, we’d be out of a job too. I didn’t realize football was his life like this though, maybe he should have put it first if it’s THIS important.

  • dru winters?

I’ve read that she was behind the entire protest to begin with, so maybe he should have thought about how much he adored this game instead of listening to her, because things are looking kinda desperate.

Yes I agree because they be the ones winning.
