In a Thanksgiving photo shared by his stepson Gabrielle Union, Zion Wade, 12, posed on curved steps with Union, his father, Dwyane Wade, and his 1-year-old sister Kaavia. In the photo, Zion wears acrylic stiletto nails.
Stiletto nails are all the rage among celebrities, such as Beyonce, Rihanna, and Cardi B (pictured below). But the tips are considered dangerous due to their sharp pointy tips.
Stiletto nails are hard acrylic nails painted with layers of polish and often decorated with tiny art or rhinestones.
Wade’s fans praised him on social media for allowing the boy to live in his truth. They said 12 is not too young for the child to express his sexuality at an age when he should be playing sports.
Zion is Wade’s son with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches. Wade’s oldest son with Funches, 17-year-old Zaire Wade, is a top ranked high school basketball star.
Union, 47, was let go as a judge on NBC’s America’s Got Talent last week. She has since opened up about being fired from the show.
“When the world feels like it’s falling apart. Try to find your peace,” she captioned a video clip.
In a tweet, Wade, 37, said he was proud of Union for “standing up for what she stands for” and practicing what she preaches to their daughter Kaavia.
“As proud as i were of her being selected as a judge on #AGT— I am even more proud of her standing up for what she stands for and that’s US. So [cheers] to you @itsgabrielleu on not losing sight of the lessons we’ve talked about teaching our daughter and for kicking ass while you were on that platform. Number 1 judge on one of the biggest shows in the world.”
