Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife Nicole Murphy announced the death of her beloved mother, Ellen Mitchell, on Monday, Nov. 4. The 51-year-old announced her mother’s passing in a post on Instagram.com.
Nicole posted a photo of her mother, Ellen, and father, Eddie T. Mitchell, who is also deceased.
She captioned the image:
“Today I lost the most beautiful person in the world to me my mom. I love you so much. Thank you for all the beautiful times we had together. Now you can Res In Peace with Dad. #purelove #mom #dad #youwillbemissed”.
Nicole, who is biracial, also shared a slideshow of her parents on Instagram. “Words can’t express how much I miss my best friend. I love you mommy..” she wrote in the caption.
Fans and friends paid tribute to Nicole’s mother on social media.
