Actor Ron Perlman is back on the market. The “Hellboy” actor is divorcing his wife, jewelry designer Opal Perlman, after nearly four decades of marriage.
According to published reports, Mr. Perlman filed divorce papers at the Stanley Most Courthouse in Los Angeles on Tuesday, November 5.
The divorce actions comes after Perlman was caught passionately kissing his “Start Up” co-star Allison Dunbar while leaving upscale restaurant Alexander’s Steakhouse in Pasadena, California back in May.
The two apparently live together. They were spotted out and about on Sunday, November 2, having lunch in Los Angeles.
News of the Perlmans’ divorce wasn’t a shock to their friends who described the interracial couple as “living very separate lives”.
“Everyone thought Ron and his wife lived very separate lives,” a source told In Touch magazine. “I will say this: The blonde actress he’s with now isn’t his usual type. He’d flirt on the set with extras like he was a single man. His wife’s name never came up.”
The Perlmans tied the knot on February 14, 1981. They share two grown children, daughter Blake Amanda Perlman (born 1984) and son Brandon Avery Perlman (born 1990).
