NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo is a first-time dad. The 25-year-old Milwaukee Bucks forward welcomed a son with longtime girlfriend Maraya.
Giannis announced the birth of his “baby Greek Freak” in a social media post on Monday. Giannis’ nickname is “Greek Freak.”
The couple named their son Liam Charles Antetokounmpo, presumably after the American actor and the basketball legend.

Stephen A. Smith was among the notables congratulating Giannis on the birth of his son, tweeting “Congrats Giannis!!”
Giannis’ brothers Kostas (left) and Thanasis (center) both play in the NBA. Thanasis plays for the Bucks while younger brother Kostas is reserve player for the Los Angeles Lakers.
6-foot-11 Giannis was born in Athens, Greece. He was chosen 15th overall in round 1 of the 2013 NBA draft. He barely spoke any English when he arrived in Milwaukee.
