Rapper Boosie Badazz had some choice words for Black people who were queued in line outside a Gucci store.
In a livestream video, Boosie yelled, “Gucci don’t like Black people. I don’t know why y’all in that line!”
Walking swiftly away, Boosie continued, “Y’all stupid as a f***. Gucci don’t like black people. Y’all still in the line. Y’all stupid as a MF. Y’all stupid as a MF. All y’all.”
Boosie, Tip “T.I.” Harris, and other rappers called on Black people to boycott the French luxury retailer for selling what they believed was a “racist sweater.”
The black balaclava sweater, which retailed for $890, appeared to mimic blackface.
Gucci removed the sweater from stores and issued an apology in 2019.
