Ipsy fans expressed outrage after the makeup giant unveiled Khloe Kardashian as the new face of its brand.
While come customers were pleased by the news, others criticized Ipsy for selecting a surgically altered woman with low self-esteem as their brand partner.
Ipsy announced the news on Facebook on Monday. “Meet our newest brand partner Khloé Kardashian! Here’s everything you need to know about her passion for beauty…”
The post included a link to Ipsy’s blog, where Khloe listed her perfect makeup kit.
Ipsy also published promo photos that show a barely recognizable Khloe wearing pink and flashing white gel nails.
One customer commented: “Her passion for beauty was a whole new face.”
Another wrote: “Ipsy we want a real woman someone relatable, someone with a real face, someone that is humble. This isn’t it, she isn’t it. Do better Ipsy [sic].”
And a third customer commented: “I’ll pass on all things beauty from someone who chops and screws her face for sport and then still needs to Photoshop every pic.”
Some customers accused the 36-year-old reality star of going under the knife to look like her idol Beyonce Knowles Carter.
“Khloe is in full-on Beyonce drag now,” wrote one customer.
Another fan posted 4 still images from Beyonce’s “Check On It” music video – including a Photoshopped image of Khloe – who looks like Beyonce’s twin.
He captioned the photos: “Beyonce in the Check On It video was a moment.”
Social media users dragged Khloe for months after she unveiled her new face last year. In fact, they are still dragging her.
But Khloe is oblivious to the criticism.
“She thinks she looks great,” wrote one Instagram user. “And actually [she] does not care what people think as long as she’s happy.”
