Rapper Silentó was arrested for allegedly walking into a home wielding a hatchet while searching for his girlfriend.
The 22-year-old rapper, who is best known for his hit “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)”, was arrested after he allegedly barged into a random home in the Los Angeles area carrying a hatchet, ABC 7 reports.
Residents inside the home tackled Silentó, real name Richard Hawk, and restrained him on the floor.
A friend arrived at the home and told Hawk he was in the wrong house. The two men fled before police arrived, TMZ reports.
Hawk was arrested about a block away from the home and charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
Hawk told police he was looking for his girlfriend.
The incident comes less than a day after Hawk was arrested in Santa Ana for a domestic disturbance call on MacArthur Boulevard, according to ABC 7.
His 2015 viral hit song “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” has garnered over 1.7 billion views on YouTube.
