Singer Jeremih (left) is reportedly “responsive” after testing positive for Covid-19 and on life support in an ICU in Chicago.
The news that the 33-year-old R&B singer was unresponsive and on a ventilator was met with skepticism, especially considering the source: rapper-turned internet troll 50 Cent (right).
50 Cent, 45, took to social media to ask for prayers for Jeremih over the weekend.
“Pray for my boy Jeremih he’s not doing good this covid s**t is real,” he wrote, while Chance the Rapper and Big Sean also offered up well wishes and prayers.
50 Cent returned to his Instagram on Monday to report that Jeremih was “responsive” and “doing a little better.”
“Thank you for praying for my Boy @jeremih he is responsive today, doing a little better,” he wrote in the caption of a recent photo of the singer.
There is an unconfirmed report that Jeremih has a pre-existing condition that weakened his immune system, making him susceptible to any respiratory virus.
Jeremih and 50 Cent collaborated on a single, “Down on Me”, which charted at the No. 1 spot on the Rhythmic Billboard chart in 2010.
Jeremih is best known for his hit debut single, “Birthday Sex”, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2009.
