Broncos linebacker Von Miller is under criminal investigation by police in a Denver suburb, the Seattle Times reports.
Parker Police Department spokesman Josh Hans confirmed an investigation is underway, but he declined to release the details. Hans wrote in an email, “We’re not commenting on nature of the allegations. We haven’t completed the investigation… “if the investigation determines a crime has occurred, charges will be submitted to the DA’s Office for their review.”
Miller, 31, has not been charged with any crimes.
The Broncos released a statement on Friday, saying they were “aware of an investigation involving Von Miller and are in the process of gathering more information.”
Miller missed the 2020 season with an ankle injury he suffered just before the opener.
Miller is due $17.5 million in the final year of his seven-year, $114 million contact.
In 2016, Miller sued a former sex partner to block the sale of a sex tape. The tape was recorded while the Super Bowl MVP vacationed in Mexico with the accuser. A judge blocked the sale and distribution of the sex tape.
Miller is rumored to have dated singer K. Michelle.
