Singer T-Boz lashed out at medics who responded after she suffered a sickle cell crisis recently.
According to TheJasmineBrand, the 50-year-old TLC legend took to social media this week to vent her frustration after encountering rude first responders.
She wrote:
“I AM TIRED OF THESE SORRY A– SO CALLED 1st RESPONDERS WHO REALLY DON’T HV A PASSION 4 THEIR JOB OR PEOPLE! PLAYING THE U NEED ME POSITION! HAVING ATTITUDES & NOT DOING THE JOB YOU CHOSE AS A CAREER! I SWEAR THEY GOT ONE MORE TIME & IM SLAPPING THE S— OUT SOMEBODY.”
After a follower urged her to contact a patient care advocate, T-Boz wrote:
“I’m just venting and I know because I’ve been dealing with these idiots for 50yrs now since birth and we ALWAYS HV ISSUES TRUST.”
“They automatically treat you like your [sic] uneducated and assume you have no knowledge.”
T-Boz, real name Tionne Watkins, has been in and out of hospitals all her life due to painful sickle cell attacks that occur spontaneously without warning.
Sickle cell disease is a blood disorder that causes the oxygen-carrying red blood cells to become rigid, deform and clump together in blood vessels, causing extreme pain in joints and extremities.
