An aspiring rapper was shot and killed while live streaming on Instagram last week. Police confirm 21-year-old Zerail Dijon Rivera was found deceased in a car in Hawthorne, California on Thursday, July 8.
Indian Red Boy, of Inglewood, was apparently shot 12 times while live-streaming with a fellow gang member, Kapone.
The graphic video shows Rivera was hit under his left eye and in his neck and upper torso. He pleaded with Kapone for help and said he was in Hawthorne, before he began spitting up blood.
Rivera’s death sparked speculation that the Bloods gang member was killed for vandalizing late rapper Nipsey Hussle’s mural in the Crenshaw neighborhood of Los Angeles.
His friend, Kapone, who is seen in the livestream, recently dropped a video in which he bragged about defacing Nipsey’s mural.
OG rapper Willie D called out Rivera’s senseless murder and the ongoing gang violence and retaliation that may result. Watch both videos below.
