Simone Biles and her NFL boyfriend Jonathan Owens are engaged after he proposed to her in a gazebo in Houston.
The 24-year-old Olympic gold medal gymnast and the Houston Texans player got engaged on Valentine’s Day. A photographer was on hand to capture the moment when Owens, 26, got down on one knee and popped the question.
“THE EASIEST YES,” Biles posted on Instagram.
“I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! let’s get married FIANCÉ.”
Biles, who documents every aspect of her life on social media, also shared a video on Instagram showing off her brilliant oval-cut diamond engagement ring.
In his own post, Owens wrote:
“Woke up this morning with a fiancée. Appreciate my dawg @don_julio314 for helping me set everything up, she really had no clue what was coming…”
Biles and Owens dated for 18 months. She previously dated fellow gymnast Stacey Ervin Jr from August 2017 to March 2020.
