Beloved character actor and comedian Leslie Jordan died suddenly on Monday. He was driving in Hollywood when he suffered an apparent cardiac arrest behind the wheel of his BMW and crashed into the side of a building. He was 67.
Jordan became an overnight sensation when he entertained his Instagram followers with comedic skits during the pandemic lockdowns.
As his popularity grew, his follow count ballooned from 80,000 to over 6 million on Instagram.
Jordan was best known for his roles as Beverley Leslie on “Will & Grace”, Sid on “The Cool Kids”, and Phil on “Call Me Kat.”
The 4-foot-11 actor also appeared in the movie The Help (2011) and he played several characters in the American Horror Story franchise.
The Emmy Award winner also appeared on CNN’s New Year’s Eve 2021 countdown, ringing in 2022 with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen.
Jordan was openly gay. He never married and did not have children.
The cause of the car crash is still under investigation.
Such deaths have been linked to Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) after the roll out of the COVID mRNA vaccines.
