Last month, rumors spread that actor Taye Diggs and Apryl Jones had split up after dating less than a year. But friends of the power couple dismissed the rumors.
According to movie producer and screenwriter J. Carter, the two lovebirds are cast in his new movie.
Carter announced his new movie on Instagram, posting, “I’ve been holding on to this one for a while, y’all. Look. At. This. Cast. #TheComebackMovie is coming soon. Written and Executive Produced by yours truly.”
The film was set to begin shooting over the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend in Atlanta, GA.
Diggs plays Jeff Murray, a married man who cheats on his wife Tisa (Jones) with an ex-girlfriend (Judi Johnson).
Diggs and Jones sparked breakup rumors when they unfollowed each other on social media.
But they were later seen together on the red carpet at “The Best Man,” miniseries premiere. She also wished him a happy birthday on Instagram recently.
Diggs, 52, shares a daughter with his ex-wife Idina Menzel. While Jones, 36, has two children with her ex, rapper Omarion, 38.
