Fashion Trust U.S. held its first annual awards show at Goya Studios on Tuesday, March 21, in Los Angeles. Well-heeled stars in attendance included Ciara Wilson (pictured), Storm Reid, Tracee Ellis Ross, Draya Michele, Muni Long, Law Roach, Paula Abdul, Sabrina Dhowre, Jurnee Smollett, and more!
Storm Reid took her mom, Robyn, as her plus one.
Actress Tracee Ellis Ross supports the arts. According to Essence magazine, Fashion Trust U.S., which was founded in 2018, is a nonprofit dedicated to the growth and nurturing of young emerging fashion designers.
Socialite Draya Michele wore a head-turning emerald gown to the Fashion Trust U.S. Awards.
Retired stylist Law Roach said he’s working on his mental health while in retirement. He announced his retirement in a March 14 post on Instagram. “I felt like that was the best way for me to walk away from the industry for a while to just, you know, work on my mental, my mental health and my physical health,” he said. Law returned to the fashion industry as a runway model at age 44.
Awards were handed out in 6 categories: St.John Ready-to-Wear, Jewelry, Inclusivity Award, Sustainability Award, the Graduate Award, and the Google Creativity Award. Soull Ogun and Dynasty Ogun of Lenchanteur (pictured) won the Jewelry Award.
The Inclusivity Award went to designer Jacques Agbobly.
