Tyrese Gibson made headlines in 2017 when he blamed his anti-psychotic medication for his erratic behavior.

The pharmaceutical company that makes the schizophrenia drug Rexulti launched an investigation into the singer/actor’s claims.

Now Tyrese is blaming his anti-psychotic drug for his lie that Will and Jada Pinkett Smith gave him $5 million.

In a 2017 post, Tyrese claimed the power couple gave him $5 million and asked him to stay off the Internet: “I will listen,” he wrote.

But he didn’t listen. His antics escalated over the years and affected his career. His record label dropped him and he last appeared in a Fast & Furious movie in 2021.

In a new interview this week, Tyrese admitted Will and Jada never gave him $5 million to pay his legal bills.

“I never talked to Will Smith and I still haven’t recovered from the damage that I did to him and his family. They didn’t deserve them phone calls. I still haven’t recovered from announcing that [ex-wife Samantha Lee Gibson] was pregnant when she wasn’t at the time… Everything that was happening, I was out of my mind.”

Recently, Tyrese claimed good friend Kim Burrell was hospitalized in an intensive care unit with double pneumonia. He asked for prayers and donations to help pay the gospel singer’s medical expenses.

However, Burrell denied she was on her death bed. In a new video she implied that the “discombobulated” actor was off his meds again.
