Update: The U.S. Navy reportedly heard the sound of the Titan tourist submersible imploding on Sunday.
The sound was detected on sensitive underwater sonar designed to hear approaching enemy submarines.
Allegedly, President Biden and the White House also knew about the implosion on Sunday. Yet their allies in the news media dragged the story out for 4 days.
“Titanic” director James Cameron says he was told about the Titan tragedy on Monday — the day after the sub launched from Newfoundland and imploded.
Cameron, who is Canadian, criticized the U.S. for letting people “run around talking about banging and oxygen when they knew where it was.”
Meanwhile, massive military resources were wasted conducting a search and rescue operation to push a fake news story that critics say was used as a diversionary tactic.
Correction: A previous version of this post noted that a salvage operation was underway to recover the bodies of the Titan crew. That was incorrect. The Titan sub was under tremendous atmospheric pressure equal to 370 atm. By comparison, the Earth’s atmospheric pressure at sea level is only 1 atm. The carbon fiber and titanium sub collapsed violently and the crew was vaporized into a pink mist. Only their teeth remained intact.

The U.S. Coast Guard said a “debris field” was found on the ocean floor close to the wreckage of the Titanic on Thursday.
An underwater remotely controlled vehicle (ROV) discovered the “rear cover” and “landing frame” from the Titan sub among the debris on the ocean floor.
A debris field means the submersible suffered a catastrophic implosion that killed all 5 occupants instantly.
An implosion is a sudden and violent collapse inward caused by structural failure under extreme pressure.
The pressure on the ocean floor at 12,500 feet is 5,800 pounds per square inch.
OceanGate issued a statement on Thursday that read:
“We now believe that our CEO Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, Hamish Harding, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet, have sadly been lost.
These men were true explorers who shared a distinct spirit of adventure, and a deep passion for exploring and protecting the world’s oceans. Our hearts are with these five souls and every member of their families during this tragic time. We grieve the loss of life and joy they brought to everyone they knew.
We respectfully ask that the privacy of these families be respected during this most painful time.”
The Titan sub went missing about an hour and a half after it began its descent toward the sunken wreckage of the Titanic around 1 p.m. EST Sunday. The 2.4 mile descent to the ocean floor should have taken 2 and a half hours.
The sub sent a distress call at 3:45 p.m. before losing all contact with the mothership. OceanGate staff waited until after 9 p.m. EST Sunday to contact the Coast Guard for help.
The Coast Guard denied reports that banging sounds detected on sonar came from the depths near the Titanic. The Coast Guard dismissed the sounds as the normal banging of Titanic wreckage debris.

An explorer group that has a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) capable of descending to 20,000 feet – complained that the Coast Guard wouldn’t let them help search for the sub until late Wednesday.
They said the Coast Guard knew the location of the sub as early as Tuesday, but the Coast Guard denied the allegations.
OceanGate CEO and founder Stockton Rush operated the Titan sub using a video game controller. He reportedly admitted the sub’s seven-inch thick acrylic window was not rated to withstand pressure below 1,300 meters (nearly 4,300 feet).
Rush admitted the window could fail in a YouTube video uploaded by Mexican actor Alan Estrada.
Rush told Estrada that the window would “squeeze in about 3 quarters of an inch” by the water pressure. Rush said the window would give “a huge warning” and start to “crackle” before it cracks or fails.
Rush admitted that he’s “broken some rules” to get his sub certified to take tourists to view the Titanic.
The Titan sub was estimated to have 96 hours of oxygen supply on board. The Coast Guard said the sub’s oxygen supply ran out around 7 a.m. EST Thursday.
In the video below, two experts say the occupants of the Titan sub knew they were in danger. There were sensors inside the sub that sounded an alarm alerting them that the sub was “delaminating.”
