Drake lashed out at “homophobic” fans who criticized his painted nails. The Canadian rapper painted his nails pink as Gay Pride Month drew to a close at the end of June.
Drake posed with a nail technician and posted a close up photo of his delicate pink colored nails.
Fans trolled his choice of nail art.
Drake’s fans say he has been slowly easing his way out of the closet for years now.
“I guess Drake is in his ‘soft era,'” one social media user wrote.
“Very sus like bruh,” another person wrote.
A third person explained that “women and men of higher classes started getting pedicures done and nails painted to show that they belonged to royal families.”
It doesn’t appear that Drake is a member of a royal family.
Drake had enough of the disrespect when fellow bisexual rapper Lil Yachty toyed with him on Twitter.
“Yachty wrote: “Boy got them heavy hangers in his ear.”
Drake responded by suggesting the whole world is homophobic:
“GET OUT MY COMMENTS YOU TOLD ME TO PAINT MY NAILS SO I STOP BITING THEM AND NOW THE WORLD IS BEING HOMOPHOBIC FOR THE 1st TIME SINCE ‘RICH FLEX…which wasn’t that long ago now that I think about it… wait is the world homophobic? Smh.”
