“Married to Medicine” star Quad Webb is mourning the loss of her great-niece Aryanna “Ari” Rice who drowned in a pool at Quad’s Marietta, Georgia, home on July 7.
Two men told police they were swimming in the pool for about 2 hours before going inside to order pizza around 8 PM. When they went back out to the pool they noticed what they thought was a doll floating in the water.
After realizing it was a child, the men immediately pulled the girl out of the water and called 911.
Little Ari was rushed to the nearby Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Ari is the daughter of Tameka Webb, Quad’s niece from Memphis, Tennessee.
Quad, 43, wasn’t at home at the time of the accidental drowning. Apparently, the little girl was playing by the pool without supervision for hours.
Quad celebrated Ari’s 3rd birthday on Instagram recently. She captioned the photo slide:
“Wow, I can’t believe my baby is 3 years old today! I remember you falling to sleep laying on my chest. You absolutely stole my heart from the moment I saw you; Ari you’re so special to me and I’m grateful to be apart of your life! I got you forever!!! Happy birthday chocolate drop.”
Quad is a longtime cast member on Bravo’s “Married to medicine,” which debuted in 2013.
