Jonathan Majors’ assault trial was pushed back until September 2023. Majors appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court on Thursday morning for a hearing on his domestic violence case.
He was accompanied to court by his “girlfriend,” actress Megan Good who held his hand as they navigated through the paparazzi outside the courthouse.
Majors is charged with brutally assaulting his then live-in girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, after an argument in a taxi cab led to violence.
His trial was expected to begin Thursday, but the actor’s attorney Priya Chaudhry filed a motion asking to delay the trial. The judge granted the motion and a new trial date has been set for Wednesday, Sept. 6, PEOPLE reports.

In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, Chaudhry said Majors filed his own domestic violence complaint against the alleged victim back in June. She referred to the disgraced actor as “the real victim”.
“For an excruciating four months, Jonathan Majors, the real victim in this shameful ordeal, has had his life, career, and reputation torn apart,” Chaudhry said Thursday. “Yet he remains unwavering in his determination to be absolved from this harrowing ordeal.”
