Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Krayzie Bone is back in the hospital with pneumonia caused by sarcoidosis of the lungs. The rapper has been in and out of the hospital with the lung disease over the years.
According to TMZ, Krayzie is “fighting for his life” after coughing up blood. He is on a ventilator in an intensive care unit following surgery,” according to Allhiphop.com.
Krayzie, 50, has been hospitalized in the past for treatment of sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation and small lumps in the lungs, lymph nodes and skin.
He was hospitalized due to the disease in 2016.
“Due to some health complications, I am forced to postpone the final dates of my Canadian tour. My apologies but we will be back in April to rock with y’all,” Krayzie wrote on his Instagram page in March 2016.
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Bizzy Bone asked his fans to keep Krayzie in their thoughts.
The rapper’s family asked for privacy. He is currently sedated on a ventilator in critical condition.
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is considered one of the best rap groups of all time.
The Cleveland, Ohio natives signed to rapper Eazy-E’s Ruthless Records in late 1993. They are best known for their hit single “Thuggish Ruggish Bone (1994). Their song “Tha Crossroads”, a tribute to Eazy-E, won a Grammy Award in 1997.
