British TikTok influencer Modou Adams was sentenced to nearly 7 years in prison after he was caught trying to smuggle cocaine out of Peru.
According to BBC, Adams, 25, was caught trying to smuggle 3 kilos of powder cocaine in his luggage at the Jorge Chávez International Airport on September 30.
Adams had a shocked expression on his face when an officer dismantled his luggage and found clear bags of cocaine powder inside the back lining.

Adams had booked a flight to London and was boarding the plane when he was stopped and his luggage was searched.
Local media reported it was not the first time the influencer and model had smuggled drugs out of the country.
A UK Foreign Office spokesperson said it was aware of Adams’ arrest. The spokesperson said they are “supporting a British man who was arrested in Peru” and was “in contact with the local authorities”.
Adams often bragged about his jet-setting lifestyle on social media.
The last photos on Adams’ Instagram page showed him visiting Machu Picchu – a popular tourist destination in Peru.
