Paul Costict of one-hit rap group B-Rock & the Bizz died unexpectedly at his home in Norfolk, Virginia on Saturday, Oct. 21. Costict (pictured left) was 57.
A family member told TMZ that they spoke to the “My Baby Daddy” rapper on Wednesday and he sounded fine.
Costict, is best known for his rap group’s hit “My Baby Daddy” which peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1997.
“My Baby Daddy” sampled “Best of My Love” by The Emotions.
The song was released by Atlanta-based LaFace Records and quickly became one of the most-requested songs on urban radio.
Original group member Thaddeus “T-Bird” Maye told TMZ that he will always remember Costict as “a very funny and cool brother.”
