Two months after rapper Jeezy filed divorce papers in Georgia, his estranged wife Jeannie Mai is reportedly house hunting in Los Angeles.
According to The Messenger, Jeannie is hoping for a “fresh start” on the West Coast where she is searching for a new home.
For the past two years, Jeannie split her time between Atlanta and the West Coast, where she is working on her game show “Raid the Cage” in New Mexico.
“She’s trying her best to get her new life in order and start fresh,” a source exclusively tells The Messenger. “Jeannie is currently looking at buying her own home in Los Angeles.”
Jeannie, 44, tied the knot with Jeezy, 46, in an intimate ceremony in the backyard of his Atlanta home in March 2021.
They welcomed their first child, daughter Monaco Mai Jenkins, on January 11, 2022.
But the star-crossed lovers soon began drifting apart after her mother and brother moved into Jeezy’s house with them.
Jeannie reportedly refused to learn how to cook Jeezy’s favorite soul food dishes and he spent most of his time in the recording studio.
“This has not been an easy journey,” Jeezy told Nia Long recently.
“I can tell you that I’m saddened, I’m disappointed. I can tell you that I’m uneasy. But again, God has put me in a different path, and that path is going to entail for me to take care of myself and to love myself and to be in the best situation that I can thrive as someone who’s been through all the things I’ve been through.”
