Tom Cruise is dating the ex-wife of a Russian oligarch (wealthy businessman) who has a word of warning for the Hollywood actor.
Cruise, 61, is reportedly dating Russian socialite Elsina Khayrova, 36, the ex-wife of Dmitry Tsetkov.
Cruise met Khayrova at a party in London’s Mayfair on Saturday, DailyMail.com reports.
Cruise is one of the richest actors in the world with a net worth estimated at over $400 million. He’s not in danger of going broke any time soon.
Tsetkov, who made his fortune in diamonds and mining, warned Cruise that his ex-wife spent $15 million on clothes and handbags during the 11 years they were married.
“Irrespective of whoever she’s with, Tom Cruise or anybody else, they should be aware that she likes the finer things in life and has expensive and luxurious taste. Tom should keep his eyes and wallet wide open,” Tsetkov, 43, told DailyMail.com in an email.
“Tom Cruise is my favorite actor, he’s one of the best I have ever seen. I have watched a lot of his movies. I first heard about him when I was 13 from my English teacher who came back from the US and told us that she lived next door to him.”
Tsetkov said he watched his fortune shrink from $254 million to just $63 million, which wasn’t enough money to maintain his jet-setting lifestyle.
He was forced to sell off his assets to pay legal fees or she would’ve seized his property in the divorce.
Khayrova was awarded her designer clothes, shoes and handbags – worth over $15 million – as part of the divorce settlement.
Tsetkov is currently single and spends most of his days playing polo, golf or tennis and going shooting.
He insisted: “I feel and look ten years younger and have never felt better. Life is great at the moment. Who says that divorce is bad for you, no matter how much it costs?”
Tsetkov had kind words for his ex. “I’m happy for her, I wish her all the best.”
