Earlier this week, comedienne Mo’Nique responded to her estranged son, Shalon’s TikTok video in which he called her a liar.
According to RhymeswithSnitch, in her efforts to discredit Shalon, Mo’Nique shared his text messages and brought up his mental health struggles.
In a new TikTok video, Shalon accused his mother of invading his privacy by revealing his private text messages.
Shalon said Mo’Nique shared his old text messages to verify a “false narrative”.
“You also invaded the privacy of my daughter’s grandparents by posting your “receipts,” he said.
Shalon said neither Mo’Nique or her husband, Sidney Hicks, should speak on mental health issues.
He reminded them that people who suffer from mental health issues have taken their lives, “or taken the lives of others for doing the very thing you so proudly did.”
Shalon confirmed he has gone to therapy on several different occasions, and he will never be ashamed of seeking therapy.”
He added: “I’ve even gone to therapy with my mother on several occasions, “but therapy only works when both people are being open.”
