Music icon Elton John reportedly relieved himself in a bottle inside a sneaker store earlier this month.
According to TMZ, Elton felt a sudden need to pee while shopping for sneakers at Sugarkikz in Nice, France earlier this month. He couldn’t hold his urine, so he peed in a plastic bottle in the middle of a store.
The scene was captured on the store’s video surveillance, but that footage will never see the light of day, according to TMZ.
What is Urinary Urgency?
Overactive bladder causes urinary urgency, which is a sudden need to urinate immediately. The urge to urinate is so strong that causes urine to leak before a person can get to a bathroom.
Urinary urgency can lead to urinary incontinence (involuntary control of bladder).
Urinary urgency can occur at any age. It is not necessarily caused by a medical condition.
Urinary urgency causes a sudden need to urinate multiple times a day. Getting up to pee at night is called nocturia.
Urinary incontinence (involuntary control of urine) is disruptive and can cause people to isolate at home. Some sufferers wear adult diapers if they have to go to work. But adult diapers can sometimes leak and cause wet spots on clothing.
Urinary urgency and overactive bladder can be treated.
When to see a doctor
Make an appointment with a doctor if your symptoms disrupt your life, or you feel a burning sensation when you pee. You may have a urinary tract infection.
