Fox News host Brian Kilmeade is trending on social media for a misunderstanding that got out of hand.
During Wednesday’s episode of Fox & Friends, Kilmeade discussed Vice President Kamala Harris skipping Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to a joint session of Congress.
Harris — who is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority – spoke at the Zeta Phi Beta sorority Boule Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana on Wednesday.
Kilmeade questioned why she didn’t attend Netanyahu’s speech.
“Why didn’t you show up? The most recent decision – already you gotta question. She will not show up for the prime minister’s, uh, joint session of Congress today,” he said. “She’d rather address – in the summer – a sorority, a colored sorority. like she can’t get outta that?”
Someone posted the clip on X, formerly Twitter, and wrote in the caption: “I’m sorry a “COLORED” sorority???.”
However, according to a Community Note, Kilmeade said “college”, not “colored.”
Still, the outrage continues on X.

Maybe he said "college"?
I am having a hard time wrapping my head around him actually saying "colored". That's career ending.

I’m sick of it. @FoxNews can’t hide their racism and misogynistic views.

He said college. Community Notes back this up.
