Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck as things heat up between Affleck and his old flame Jennifer Aniston.
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on Tuesday, Aug. 20 — the second anniversary of their wedding in Georgia in 2022.
Lopez and Affleck separated months ago. Affleck moved out of their marital home and rented a house near his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
In the divorce paperwork, obtained by People.com, Lopez listed the date of separation as April 26, 2024.
“She tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken,” a source told PEOPLE of Lopez.
Affleck and Lopez remained amicable after their rumored split. She was among friends and family who celebrated his 52nd birthday at his L.A. home last week.
Now there are reports that Affleck and Jennifer Aniston may have hooked up recently.
Affleck and Aniston first met on the set of the movie “He’s Just Not That Into You” in 2009.
The “Friends” star reportedly had a crush on Affleck and they have had a “flirty” relationship for years.
Affleck and Aniston aren’t officially a couple – yet. But now that Lopez has filed for divorce, things could heat up again between Affleck and Aniston.
