Denzel Washington’s daughter Katia Washington and her wife Colleen Wilson attended The Critics Choice Association’s 7th Annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television in Los Angeles on December 9.
Photos of the happy couple went viral on social media. Colleen is a former ballet dancer who is 6-foot-4, while film producer Katia stands at 5-foot-2.
Katia, 38, graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2010. She came out of the closet around 2017.
Denzel, 69, and Pauletta were married in June 1983 and they have four children, including film producer John David, 40, and 33-year-old twins Malcolm and Olivia.
Denzel is a Pentecostal Evangelical Christian and a member of the West Angeles Church of God in Christ, located in Los Angeles.
He is fully accepting of his masculine-presenting daughter Katia’s LGBTQ lifestyle.
Denzel recently went viral after he confessed he kissed a man in his new movie “Gladiator II”
The Oscar-winning actor talked Gayety about playing Roman emperor Macrinus. Denzel was asked about “how gay” he thought the Roman empire was and he referenced his same-sex kiss.
“I actually kissed a man in the film but they took it out. They cut it,” he said. “I think they got chicken.”
However, director Ridley Scott said it never happened.
