Sean “Puffy” Combs had a mental breakdown at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center the day after Christmas.

RadarOnline.com reported that Combs, 55, pleaded with guards to take him to a prison hospital for evaluation. A source tells Radaronline.com that Combs believed he was having a panic attack or possibly a mental breakdown.

According to a source close to the disgraced rap mogul, the guards at the detention center refused his request.

The insider claimed: “Spending the holidays behind bars was a nightmare for him. He eventually managed to calm himself down with the meditation technique he’s been using while he’s been behind bars.

“It took him a few hours of deep breathing and focusing to get out of the bad space he was in, but he finally managed it.”

A separate source close to the rapper’s camp denied the reports, claiming the rapper is staying strong in jail – despite missing his children at Christmas.

Rumor has it that Combs is on a hunger strike and he’s losing weight.

A witness at a recent pretrial hearing in Manhattan said the rap mogul looked “astonishingly thinner” and “grayer” in person.

“He appeared just astonishingly thinner… he appeared very noticeably thinner and maybe being locked up in detention is starting to wear on him,” Law & Crime reporter Elizabeth Millner said after the hearing.

She said Combs’s jet black hair was “grayer” in person. State and federal inmates are not allowed to dye their hair in jail.

Combs was arrested in September on human trafficking and conspiracy charges. He was denied bond three times and he withdraw a 4th attempt to obtain bond.

Dozens of people have since come forward to file lawsuits accusing Combs of drugging and assaulting them.

The rapper’s legal team released a statement following the new lawsuits: “These complaints are full of lies. We will prove them false and seek sanctions against every unethical lawyer who filed fictional claims against him.”
