Former first lady Michelle Obama showed a united front with her husband Barack Obama amid rumors that they are headed for a divorce.
Rumors ran rampant after Barack attended Jimmy Carter’s funeral without Michelle.
He also showed up at Donald Trump’s Inauguration without his wife, who was at her home in Hawaii.

Friends of the Obamas seemed to confirm rumors that Barack is dating “Friends” actress Jennifer Aniston.
Aniston laughed off the rumor in an October 2024 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Jennifer said she met Barack one time, and she knew “Michelle more than him.”

But insider Meghan McCain seemed to confirm the divorce rumor. She added that Michelle and Barack live separate lives.
“I have been hearing this rumor that the Obamas are getting a divorce by reputable people,” McCain said on a recent podcast. “I’m not talking about TMZ. I’m not talking about Perez Hilton… I’m talking about like very serious journalists telling me that they’re hearing that the Obama divorce rumors are true.”

However, Michelle showed a unified front with Barack on Wednesday.
Michelle posted a joint message with Barack on Instagram announcing that The Obama Presidential Center plans to honor Chicago teenager Hadiya Pendleton.

The 15-year-old was murdered in 2013 just days after she performed with her high school band at Barack’s second inauguration. Michelle announced that she and Barack will open a memorial garden for Hadiya inside the center located in Chicago.
“She had an extraordinary light that will not be forgotten,” wrote Michelle on her Instagram story, “and Barack and I look forward to honoring her memory through a dedicated space at the Obama Presidential Center.”
The honor roll student was shot in the back and killed while standing with friends inside Harsh Park in Kenwood, Chicago after taking her final exams.
Two suspects, Micheail Ward, 18, and Kenneth Williams, 20, were convicted of first-degree murder in August 2018 and sentenced to 84 years and 42 years in prison respectively.
