China poked fun at President Donald Trump’s tariff war with an AI-generated video showing Americans working in sweat shops.

The video shows Americans operating sewing machines and working on a cell phone assembly line. Gloomy, depressing music plays in the background.

China vowed to fight back after Trump announced tariffs on all imported goods from China and other countries.

The tariffs resulted in devastating losses in the stock market and fears of a recession.

“The United States has a chance to do something that should have been done DECADES AGO,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social app. “Don’t be a PANICAN (A new party based on Weak and Stupid people!)”

The president was criticized for going on a golf trip in Florida during the stock market meltdown last week.

Trump said tariffs will be worth the pain. He told Americans to stop being “weak” and “stupid” amid the stock market crash.

Trump said tariffs will bring jobs back to the U.S. and re-industrialize America. Tariffs are taxes imposed on goods imported into the U.S.

But China responded with the AI video that shows what re-industrializing America might look like.

X (Twitter) users argued that the Americans in the video looked healthy and well-nourished compared to the people who work in sweat shops in third world countries.

But others said the price of food, clothing, cell phones, and appliances will still go up due to minimum wage laws and the cost of heating and air conditioning the factories in America.
