Singer Chris Brown caused a buzz online when he asked his fans not to wear red bandanas or red hats during his upcoming concert tour.

Brown announced his “Breezy Bowl XX World Tour” which is set to kick off later this year. Tickets went on sale on April 3 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

In an Instagram post on Saturday, April 5, the “Residuals” singer wrote, “I see a lot of the fans collectively telling team breezy to wear red bandannas to the concert. Just get brown bandanas so y’all won’t run into any problems.”

He added: “I don’t want people to get the wrong impression and promote the wrong thing!”

It’s common knowledge that Brown is affiliated with the Fruit Town Piru set of The Bloods street gang. He reportedly hires Bloods members and they allow him to shoot music videos in their neighborhoods.

He often infuses gang symbols, such as red bandanas and gang hand signs in his music videos.

“And you see this bandana hanging / That means I’m like a bandit, like like a bandit-bandit,” he sings in his hit song “Kiss Kiss” (2007).

Singers and rappers who live double lives as gangbangers are on the Department of Justice’s radar. Several high-profile arrests have made headlines recently.

Rollin’ 60s Crips leader Eugene “Big U” Henley and several other gang members were arrested by the feds last month on RICO charges. They are currently sitting in jail without bond in California.
