A Texas judge who reduced Karmelo Anthony’s bail has hired extra security after receiving death threats. Judge Angela Tucker was “doxxed” and her home address and phone number were posted online.

Karmelo, 17, is charged with fatally stabbing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf in the heart during a dispute at a high school track meet on April 2.

Judge Tucker reduced Karmelo’s bond from $1 million to $250,000. He posted bond and walked out of the Collin County Jail on Monday.

Tucker, Collin County’s first Black judge, made her X (Twitter) account private after someone posted her personal information online.

“Sharing a judge’s private information is a crime and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” officials said in a statement.

Judge Tucker is a registered Republican.

The Daily Mail reported that Karmelo and his family moved into a $900,000 home in the gated Richmonds subdivision in Frisco, Texas. However, neighbors said the family had lived in the rental home since 2022.

A rep said Karmelo and his family have not received donations totaling over $430,000 from a GiveSendGo account.
