A Las Vegas reporter went viral for pausing her live remote broadcast to “interact” with a homeless man who asked her for money.

KVVU reporter Molly McBride was at a gas station reporting about recent shootings in the area, when a man ran up and asked her for money.

The camera panned off McBride as a Las Vegas Fox affiliate anchor woman noted that she would “check back in with Molly in just a moment”.

The anchor woman added, “It looks like she’s having some interactions there”.

The video uploaded to X (Twitter) was viewed over 9 million times on June 8.

News director Tom Bell told TVSpy, the man “briefly made contact with her then ran off.” He added that McBride was okay.

“Molly was not hurt, just startled. The incident occurred in seconds. She said when she looked back at the tape, it looked scarier than it was in real life,” said Bell. “When she returned to the station, she was more focused on and appreciative of how concerned we were about her, vs the actual encounter.”
