Last week I told you that the WNBA featured 4 lesbian couples playing together on the same teams. That statistic is unprecedented among professional sports teams.
The WNBA defies the rules about fraternizing in the workplace. Besides being unprofessional, having teammates sleeping with each other causes drama and conflicts of interest among teammates.
What happens if the couples start arguing and fighting in the locker room? What if they decide not to play together and just not show up for practice or game days? Now you have teammates who refuse to speak to each other.

According to Lesbian Twitter, NaLyssa, 24, and her Dallas Wings teammate, guard DiJonai Carrington, 27, broke up and they’re not on speaking terms.
Before the rumors could hit the blogs on Monday, Dallas hastily traded the 6-foot-4 NaLyssa to the Las Vegas Aces for a first-round pick in the 2027 WNBA draft.
The trade happened so quickly that it caught NaLyssa off guard.
She wrote on X: “sick to my stomach dawg , never seen this coming but .. i love you dallas nation, thank you 4 everything.”
Apparently, Dallas valued DiJonai Carrington over her moody ex-girlfriend. The Aces is NaLyssa’s second team in the same year. She was traded by the Indiana Fever to Dallas earlier this year. Indiana fans were glad to see her go.
