Cardi B hushed paparazzi at the Schiaparelli Fall 2025 Couture show during Paris Haute Couture Week on Monday. Cardi appeared at the show wearing a black velvet gown featuring a custom beaded fringe collar. She accessorized her gown with a black raven.
As photographers shouted to get her attention, Cardi said, “Don’t scare him!”

Cardi told a WWD reporter that the raven is her “best friend”.
When asked if she was scared of the bird, Cardi responded “No, I’m not scared of the bird. That’s my friend. I control him. We’re best friends.”
The raven is a nod to the black birds that appeared on the cover of Cardi B’s upcoming sophomore album, Am I the Drama?

Perez Hilton and others complained about the raven appearing at a chaotic fashion show. “Some folks will be very upset by THIS,” Perez wrote on his website, Perezhilton.com.

Am I the Drama? is Cardi B’s first album release in 7 years.

“Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, life and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now, I give them hell,” she said in a voiceover of a video in June. “I learned power is not given, it’s taken. I’m shedding feathers and no more tears. I’m not back, I’m beyond. I’m not your villain, I’m your tyrant. The time is here. The time is now.”
The first track off the album, titled “Outside” is a diss toward her estranged husband, rapper Offset.
